The Costa del Sol is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Prices are more expensive than those in Malaga city center are, however, most visitors should find them in line with prices from their home countries or similar tourist resorts. The town also boasts a sea-life center and the Tivoli theme park.

Benalmadena has aimed for a more family-based clientele than the "young, fun-in-the-sun" image associated with Torremolinos.
